What’s one human skill you think will become more valuable as AI takes on more of our work?
This month, we asked the LeedHR team: What’s one human skill you think will become more valuable as AI takes on more of our work?
🔵 Charles Fortier : Intuition
As AI becomes everyone's logical advisor, intuition becomes a key differentiator. The most logical answer is not always the best. The ability to sense what's right or wrong for your team and your culture will separates good leaders from great ones.
🟠 Angela Payne : Empathy
Understanding how people feel standing in front of us, reading emotional cues and respond with care are what creates trust and relationships. Yes I know technology can support connection but I think empathy really builds it.
🔵 Andrea Brum: Judgement
AI may be able to generate answers but the real questions remain: Is the answer actually correct? What information might be missing? What are the risks? And how should the output be applied? Our ability to ask the right questions becomes even more important.
🟠 Miranda Donald (CPCC) : Emotional Regulation
The way we work with our emotions has a ripple effect on the people around us. The more aware we are of what's happening within us, the more intentional we can be in how we show up for others.
🔵Marie-Claude (MC) Bernier: Adaptability
AI has a way of shaking our vision of the world and challenging what we think is possible. Some people are thrilled by the possibilities. Others experience resistance and uncertainty. No matter where we land, some level of adaptation will be required from each of us. I do believe that those who thrive will be the ones who can continuously evolve and adapt thoughtfully alongside it.
What skill would you add to the list?
